British tenor Samuel Kibble recently graduated from Royal Academy Opera at the Royal Academy of Music.
Recent operatic roles include Second Attendant (cover) in A Full Moon in March (Harbison) at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville (Rossini) with Bradford Opera Festival, Brighella (cover) in Ariadne auf Naxos (Strauss) for Garsington Festival Opera, and Don Basilio in The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart), Sellem in The Rake’s Progress (Stravinsky), Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi (Puccini) and Torquemada in L’heure espagnol (Ravel) with Royal Academy Opera.
Samuel is a busy concert soloist, with recent engagements including Evangelist in Bach’s John Passion with Greenwich University Choir, Handel’s Messiah with Guildford Choral and Southern Pro Musica at G Live in Guildford, Mozart’s Requiem in Sudbury and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 at the Royal Academy of Music.
Samuel is an accomplished recitalist. Recent performances include Lennox Berkeley’s Songs of the Half-Light with guitarist Declan Hickey. During his studies he was a member of the Royal Academy of Music’s prestigious Song Circle, with which he gave several recitals. He recently performed Britten‘s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings at the Royal Academy of Music.
